SAT Prep Course

In preparation for the April SAT, Harvard graduate and local tutor Bobby Kenney has designed a virtual prep course for the new digital SAT. Including 12 hours of live instruction from a repeat perfect scorer, the class will teach your student what to expect on the reinvented SAT and how to maximize his or her score.

Topics Covered

  • The new format and adaptive nature of the digital SAT
  • Optimizing the College Board Bluebook app
  • Ideal order to answer questions
  • Top strategies for each section
  • Conquering the 7 most important grammar questions
  • Mastering Desmos (online graphing calculator provided to students on the test)
  • Eliminating trap answers

Live Quizzes

In addition, the format of this course ensures participation by including live quizzes that engage students multiple times each class period and provide instant feedback, exposing them to more than 100 real SAT questions and teaching a proven process for success on the SAT. There will be a reward for the top scorer and those with the highest levels of participation!

Practice Exams

Twice throughout the course, students will be assigned a practice exam so they can perfect the strategies learned in class and build the stamina needed to succeed on the SAT.

More about Bobby Kenney

While in high school, Bobby Kenney had a 4.9 GPA, scored a 5 on 8 different AP exams, scored a 36 on the ACT twice, and graduated second in his class of 900 students. This strong academic performance helped him get into Harvard, where he graduated in 2010 with a degree in Chemistry and a minor in Spanish. In 2015, he began tutoring and founded Expert Test Prep. Since then, he has worked with over 1,000 students on the ACT, SAT, and nearly every high-school subject, with dozens of those students having attended or currently attending Evergreen. His average score increases are 4.5 points for the ACT and 200 points for the SAT, and his system has produced National Merit Finalists (including one from Evergreen!), 99th-percentile scorers, and even perfect scorers on both the ACT and SAT. But he also routinely helps students who struggle with standardized testing, and he loves those breakthrough moments where a strategy or concept finally clicks.
